Blu Omega is seeking a Sr. Scientist to support a federal program focused on border security and surveillance operations. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for supporting mission-critical systems related to border protection and national security. The position requires experience supporting systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, and systems integration within a mission-driven environment.

Program Overview

Support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations (AMO) mission efforts to detect, interdict, and prevent acts of terrorism and the unlawful movement of people and contraband through integrated surveillance and communication systems.

Key Details

Location: Riverside, CA / Hybrid
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain CBP clearance

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, and systems integration for border security operations
• Evaluate, design, and re-design C4I tracker and correlator systems to meet evolving user requirements
• Develop and implement advanced C4I interfaces for sensors and data sources
• Perform system design, software development, configuration, installation, upgrades, and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field
• 10+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, and systems integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C4I systems and sensor integration
• Advanced programming experience in C and C++
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design, and implement complex surveillance and communication systems

Compensation

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
