Job summary

Haskell is seeking a Scheduling Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain construction project schedules using Primavera/P6. You will coordinate with Project Managers, prepare estimates-to-complete, and produce baseline reviews.

Responsibilities include creating network diagrams, bar charts, and schedule reports; coordinating resource and cost loading; maintaining progress; attending project reviews; and supporting cost and cash flow projections.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or construction management is required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• 1–5 years of scheduling experience on large construction projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera/P6 scheduling software including cost/resource loading and analysis.

• Coordinate with Project Manager on estimates-to-complete and cash flow projections.
• Develop schedules for business development to accompany proposals.
• Maintain individual project schedules and baseline reviews.
• Create network logic diagrams, bar charts, and reports to support PMs, estimating, and BD.
• Manage resource and cost loading of schedules per project needs.
• Keep project progress updated in the schedule.
• Monitor procurement and submittal schedule portions.
• Coordinate with Superintendent for a short-term look-ahead.
• Attend scheduling portions of project reviews.
• Prepare project reports as requested.
• Consult with team to resolve scheduling challenges.
• Assist in developing schedule of values with PM and estimators.

In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain construction project schedules. You will plan and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure the established goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. You should have proficiency and a working knowledge of Primavera/P6, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), CPM scheduling (Critical Path Methods), Resource Loading, Delay Analysis, etc.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the development of schedules for estimating, as requested
• Coordinate with the Project Manager with the preparation of estimates-to-complete and cash flow projections for cost-loaded schedules.
• Develop project schedules for business development that will be submitted with the proposals.
• Maintain individual project schedules, including the development of baseline reviews.
• Develop network logic diagrams, bar charts, and schedule reports for project schedules, as required, to support the project management teams, estimating, and business development.
• Manage resource and cost loading the project schedule based on project requirements.
• Keep progress up-to-date in the project schedule.
• Monitor the procurement and submittal schedule portion of the project schedule.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent in creating a short-term look ahead schedule.
• Attend the scheduling portion of project reviews, as required.
• Prepares project reports as requested.
• Confers with project team to provide technical advice and to help resolve scheduling challenges.
• Assist as required in developing the schedule of values with the guidance of the Project Manager and estimators for cost-loaded schedules.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Four-year degree in engineering or construction management
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required
• 1 - 5 years of scheduling experience on large construction projects
• Proficiency in Primavera/P6 scheduling software including cost/resource loading and analysis
• Must be able to physically access working areas of a construction project site
• Must be able to locate to project sites as needed to perform essential duties
• Work in excess of a 40-hour workweek may be required
• Experience in estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, client relationship, computer skills, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of industry-standard bid practice

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
