Job summary

Planet Group seeks an experienced SAP SAC Consultant to partner with Finance leaders in defining, designing, and delivering planning and reporting solutions within SAP Analytics Cloud. You will gather requirements, translate needs into functional specs, and perform hands-on SAC configuration to support enterprise planning processes.

This six-month, full-time remote contract emphasizes both solution design and practical build work, with EST hours preferred and a focus on driving FP&A excellence

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering FP&A, budgeting, forecasting or EPM solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience configuring SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning.
• Deep understanding of FP&A processes, management reporting, variance analysis, and financial planning methodologies.
• Proven experience gathering requirements and creating detailed functional specifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Demonstrated success acting as a functional consultant who can both design and configure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Finance and business leaders to gather, document, and refine planning and reporting requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and translate business needs into scalable SAC Planning solutions.
• Develop functional specifications and solution designs aligned to FP&A objectives.
• Configure SAP Analytics Cloud Planning models, stories, data actions, allocations, and forecasting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, financial reporting, and scenario modeling initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams on data integration, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Provide guidance on best practices and drive adoption of SAC planning capabilities.

Location: Remote - New York, NY (EST preferred)
Rate Range: $105- $115 per hour (C2C)
Contract Duration: 6 months

Introduction

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP SAC Consultant to partner with Finance and business stakeholders in defining, designing, and delivering planning and reporting solutions within SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). In this role, you will gather requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, and perform hands‑on SAC configuration to support enterprise planning processes. This is a 6-month, full-time remote contract for a consultant who enjoys being both the solution designer and the builder.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.

• 8+ years of experience delivering Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, or EPM solutions
• Strong hands‑on experience configuring SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning
• Deep understanding of FP&A processes, management reporting, variance analysis, and financial planning methodologies
• Proven experience gathering requirements and creating detailed functional specifications
• Ability to communicate effectively with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams
• Demonstrated success acting as a functional consultant who can both design and configure solutions

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.

• Prior experience working with Anaplan in a planning, forecasting, or financial modeling environment
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, BPC, or other enterprise planning platforms
• Background supporting finance transformation or planning modernization initiatives
