Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced SAP GTS Functional Consultant to lead end-to-end implementations and provide expert solutions in Compliance Management, SPL screening, and Embargo checks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across SD, MM, and FI, deliver Fiori apps interfaces, and ensure timely delivery while adhering to global trade regulations and internal standards.

Strong communication and daily progress reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on implementation in SAP GTS: SPL Screening, Legal control, Embargo check.
• Hands-on with GTS- Customs management and Electronic Compliance Reporting.
• Exposure to Fiori Apps and interfaces.
• At least 1 end-to-end GTS implementation and 1 support experience.
• Cross-module exposure: SAP SD, MM, FI.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and complete work with little supervision and keep management informed of progress.
• Act as "Module expert" for GTS and provide solutions to business requirements.
• Fit-gap analysis, design and configure SAP GTS: SPL, Legal control, Embargo check.
• Work on Electronic Compliance Reporting, Customs Management, and Risk Management.
• Document solutions, SAP configuration and program modifications per internal standards.
• Create functional/design specs for SAP activities including RFCs, BAPIs and User Exits.
• Configure SAP GTS processes and resolve user issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Business Owners/Users and IT to analyze, design, test and implement SAP solutions.
• Liaise between technical team and end users to ensure clear progress.
• Evaluate new versions or updates to determine feasibility for adoption and make recommendations.
• Research new technologies for making recommendations.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 10+ Years of SAP GTS experience including latest version SAP GTS Edition for HANA.


• Must have strong hands-on Implementation experience in GTS- Compliance Management: SPL (Sanctioned Party List Screening), Legal control (product licensing), and Embargo check, and FIORI apps.


• Hands on exposure on GTS- Customs management, Electronic Compliance Reporting and Risk Management


• Hands on exposure on Fiori Apps, interfaces and enhancements.


• At least 1 GTS end to end full cycle implementation and 1support experiences with strong SAP GTS hands-on experience.


• Exposure on cross modules SAP SD, MM and FI, exports/ Imports processes.


• Good understanding and exposure on global trade regulations.


• Good Communication.


• Communicate daily progress.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to plan, organize and complete work with little or no supervision while keeping management fully informed of plans and progress.


• Perform as "Module expert" and provide solutions to business requirements in the areas of GTS function.


• Fit-gap analysis, Design and configure the solution of SAP GTS- Compliance Management: SPL (Sanctioned Party List Screening), Legal control (product licensing), and Embargo check.


• And experience/knowledge in Electronic Compliance Reporting, Customs Management, Risk Management


• Documentation of Solutions, SAP configuration and program modifications according to internal standards.


• Create functional and design specifications for all of SAP related activities including reporting, transactional programming, interfaces, Remote Function Calls (RFCs), Business Application Program Interface (BAPIs) and User Exits.


• Perform SAP configuration/customization in the process area of "GTS" related activities and resolve user reported issues in a timely manner.


• Experience module SAP SD and other cross functional module like MM.


• Shall prepare functional specs/ FUT docs documents and related enhancement changes or project changes accordingly.


• Work with the Business Owners / Users or other Functional Team members or IT Team members to analyze, design, configure, test, and implement SAP solutions to meet business requirements.


• Act as the liaison between the technical team members and the end users to ensure requirements / progress are communicated accurately.


• Evaluates new versions or updates to systems to determine feasibility for use, prepares detailed plans for adoption, and makes recommendations to IT management.


• Research new technologies and functionality for making recommendations.
