Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Senior SAP BTP Developer to design and develop SAP BTP solutions with a strong UI5 background. The role emphasizes delivering scalable, secure SAP BTP applications and aligning with business requirements.

The position is hybrid with in-office days in Marlborough, MA and remote days otherwise. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in SAP and 3+ years in SAP BTP/Fiori/UI5, plus hands-on experience with CAP, OData, CDS, and embedded analytics.

Qualifications

• At least 8+ years of SAP development experience.
• 3+ years of SAP BTP/Fiori/UI5 development experience.
• Hands-on with CAP, RESTful ABAP, Business Application Studio.

Responsibilities

• Understand the architecture, strategy, and design of SAP BTP services in alignment with SAP's guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, performance optimizations, and troubleshooting for SAP BTP applications.
• Implement DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Provide technical guidance to improve SAP BTP applications and best practices.
• Support IT and business partners in transitioning to SAP BTP using Agile/DevOps.
• Stay current with SAP technologies and propose innovations.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and future SAP development areas.

Job Summary:

The Senior SAP BTP Developer will be responsible for helping design and develop BTP solutions that meet our business requirements. They should have a strong UI5 development background in SAP and extensive experience working with BTP.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand the architecture, strategy, and design of SAP BTP services in alignment with SAP's guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, performance optimizations, and troubleshooting to maintain the stability, scalability, and security of SAP BTP applications.
• Implement DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for SAP BTP projects.
• Contribute to establishing processes/tools and providing technical guidance to improve our best practices related to the SAP BTP applications.
• Support IT and business partners in their transition towards SAP BTP using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Stay current with emerging SAP technologies, tools, and trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Responsible to keep abreast of industry trends and innovations and future SAP development for respective process areas.

Job Qualifications

• At least 8+ years of experience in SAP development and must have 3+ years of SAP BTP/Fiori/UI5 development experience.
• Hand-On experience in Cloud Application Programming Model, RESTful ABAP Programming Model, using Business Application Studio
• Hands on experience with SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, OData Service, CDS Views & Embedded Analytics on SAP BTP Cloud Platform.
• Good understanding of the standard services/libraries of the SAP Cloud Platform.
• Good understanding of the integration of SAP BTP with other SAP modules and third-party applications to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
• Experience working with SAP Build Process Automation, Workflow
• Experience working with SAP Build and ABAP cloud in achieving clean core methodology.
• Strong analytical ability, judgment, and problem analysis techniques.
• Solid troubleshooting skills, including tracing, logs, etc.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $131,500.00
