We are seeking a sales professional responsible for PerkinElmer's Inorganic, Chromatography, and Material Characterization product lines within the Analytical Solutions Group. Responsibilities include presenting capabilities, customer interface, and representing products and services in the territory covering Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. The candidate must be located within this territory, willing to travel ~50% overnight, and collaborate with sales and service teams. In-depth knowledge of the capital equipment sales cycle and understanding of Inorganic (AA, ICP, ICP/MS), Chromatography (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS), and Material Characterization (IR, UV, Thermal) products are required.

Location: Field remote role covering WA and OR, with a company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone provided.

Responsibilities
  1. Grow Sales Volume: Implement sales plans aligned with regional and company objectives, manage existing accounts, identify new targets, participate in trade shows, and enhance market share and profitability. Develop product line-specific plans to ensure fair representation and meet margin goals.
  2. Develop and implement business plans: Maintain effective territory management, present technical and business information, identify customer needs, promote support services, follow up on inquiries, utilize CRM for customer data, update opportunity funnel and forecasts, and manage the sales funnel to meet growth targets.
  3. Build customer partnerships: Provide solutions by leveraging knowledge of market dynamics and competitive offerings, maintaining technical selling capabilities for consultative roles.
  4. Teamwork: Collaborate with sales teams, service teams, product specialists, and business units to ensure high customer service levels and support customer events.
Basic Requirements
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • 3-5 years of direct sales experience in analytical instrumentation or related laboratory experience.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of business factors affecting profitability and laboratory operations.
  • Experience with analytical laboratory software and instruments is desirable.
  • Experience with Inorganic, Chromatography, and Materials Characterization instrumentation is a plus.

The annual salary range is $95,000 to $108,000, with final compensation based on qualifications and location.
