Job summary

  • 3+ years of experience in business analytics, category management, commercial planning, or customer development (preferably in CPG or retail).
  • Direct experience with syndicated data systems (Nielsen, etc.), retail portals, and internal sales forecast/financial management tools.
  • Previous experience in the CPG space is required.
  • Experience in customer presentations and storytelling.
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret data, uncover insights, and make strategic recommendations.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to influence stakeholders and present findings clearly.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business performance across key metrics (sales, supply, margin, share, households) using multiple data sources (e.g., Nielsen, portals, etc).
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across item-level performance, promotions, new item launches, and competitive activity.
  • Develop actionable insights with clear narratives to guide strategic decisions.
  • Support ad‑hoc storytelling and maintain clean attribution to support customer-facing narratives.
  • Provide detailed forecasting support by analyzing consumption run rates and distribution shifts.
  • Partner with Demand and Supply teams to influence forecast accuracy and inventory flow across Omni channels.
  • Manage item portfolio including attribution, system setup, and SKU/distribution risk analysis.
  • Samples management for retailer resets and ad-hoc requests.
  • Support promotional ideation, planning, and post-event analysis.
  • Manage tracking tools for promotions and display execution with retailer connectivity.
  • Deliver regular reporting including consumption performance recaps, modular/feature performance, and customer meeting insights.
  • Prepare data/presentations for PBRs, QBRs, JBP, and other customer needs.
  • Build dashboards/tools to improve visibility and decision-making for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage Compass/Financial system upkeep and price change processing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance data quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure data readiness for internal systems and customer requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including Demand, Supply, Sales Strategy, RGM, and Category Management.

What would be your key responsibilities?
Business Analysis & Insight Development
  • Analyze business performance across key metrics (sales, supply, margin, share, households) using multiple data sources (e.g., Nielsen, customer specific data portals, etc).
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across item-level performance, promotions, new item launches, OOS exposure, and competitive activity (including digital scrapes).
  • Develop actionable insights with clear narratives – articulating the “what,” “so what,” and “now what” to guide strategic decisions.
  • Support ad‑hoc storytelling; maintain clean attribution and leverage insights to support customer‑facing narratives.
Forecasting & Item Portfolio Management
  • Provide detailed forecasting support by analyzing consumption run rates, distribution shifts, display changes, and new item loads (CER).
  • Partner with Demand and Supply teams to influence forecast accuracy and ensure sufficient inventory flow across Omni channels.
  • Manage and maintain item portfolio including attribution, system setup, cost/OI changes, and SKU/distribution risk analysis.
  • Samples Management – Retailer reset samples, innovation mock‑ups and ad‑hoc requests.
Promotional & Digital Strategy Support
  • Support promotional ideation, planning, and post‑event analysis.
  • Manage tracking tools for promotional and display execution, ensuring retail partner connectivity and timely updates.
Reporting & Performance Measurement
  • Deliver regular reporting including consumption performance recaps, modular and feature performance, competitive recaps, and customer meeting insights.
  • Prepare data and presentations for key customer milestones such as PBRs (Period Business Reviews), QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), JBP, and other customer needs.
  • Build dashboards or tools that improve visibility and decision‑making across internal and external stakeholders.
Operations & Process Improvement
  • Manage operations‑related tasks such as Compass/Financial system upkeep, Club new item submissions, and price change processing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that drive data quality, efficiency, and actionable output.
  • Ensure data readiness for internal systems and customer requirements.
Internal & External Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Build strong working relationships with cross‑functional teams including Demand, Supply, Sales Strategy, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Category Management.
  • Represent the analyst function in meetings, planning cycles, and customer engagements for total Club channel
