Job summary

Delicatessen Services Co., LLC is seeking a Company Route Sr Specialist to support the Company Route Operator in operations, sales, training, inventory, warehousing, and back-office systems. The role emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and adherence to Boar’s Head policies, including The Vision Process.

The successful candidate will oversee warehouse staff, manage inventory, participate in weekly and monthly inventories, and assist with promotions and new item launches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in the food and beverage industry; perishable products preferred.
• Willing to relocate anywhere in the US and travel up to 80%.
• Experience with a distributorship; Boar’s Head Distributor training is a plus.
• May be required to obtain CDL for delivery purposes.
• Occasional OT and weekend shifts.

• Placing FB orders weekly.
• Managing warehouse personnel.
• Receiving trailers and processing paperwork.
• Rotation of inventory in warehouse and on the truck.
• Loading trucks and ensuring overnight plug-ins.
• Managing short-coded product.

• Familiar with products and knowledge of case counts.
• End of Day settlement procedures (sales, inventory, cash, etc).
• Training Deli Sales Associates behind the counter.
• Merchandising and demonstrating product.
• Supporting promotions and new item launches.
• Delivering Grand Opening requirements per the GO handbook.
• Attending training classes as needed.

The following functions are to be conducted in a support role:

• Receiving trailers and processing associated paperwork.
• Proper rotation of all inventory in the warehouse and on the truck.
• Loading all trucks and insuring proper overnight plug-ins.
• Manage all short-coded product.
• Involved in all weekly inventories (including POS materials) and monthly weighted inventories.
• Maintaining the warehouse, equipment, and trucks.
• Familiar with products; identification, case counts, other product knowledge.
• End of Day settlement procedures, sales, inventory, credit, cash, etc.
• Training Deli Sales Associates behind the counter.
• Merchandising and demonstrating product
• Supporting company initiatives (e.g. promotions, new item launches).
• Delivering all aspects of Grand Opening requirements as identified in the GO handbook.
• Attending classes, lectures, and seminars for further training as deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-5 years in the food and beverage industry, perishable products preferred.
• Flexible to relocate anywhere in the US.
• Must be able to travel up to 80%.
• Experience working for a distributorship.
• May be required to obtain CDL for delivery purposes.
• Some OT and weekend work required.
• Successful completion of Boar’s Head Distributor training program.
