About the Job

The first line Risk team within Commercial Bank is responsible for governance and tactical execution of risk management, optimizing risk and return, and enabling sound growth with speed for the business.

The Senior Risk Analyst - Merchant Acquiring supports daily onboarding, risk monitoring, and periodic reviews of merchants on the KMS platform, working alongside credit and risk services provided by Key’s vendors.

Essential Job Functions
  • Conduct daily merchant risk reviews and investigations
  • Review vendor concurrence requests for new applications, funds held, releases, tracking, and follow-up
  • Monitor daily suspended transactions
  • Communicate with merchants and internal stakeholders regarding investigations and reviews
  • Coordinate collection placements with external vendors
  • Respond to sales staff inquiries about pending applications and opportunities
  • Participate in oversight meetings with risk and compliance partners
  • Support internal governance and due diligence for KMS vendors
  • Prepare and maintain presentations and reports for governance, risk, and vendor forums
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of risk management experience, preferably in merchant acquiring
  • Understanding of merchant risk, fraud indicators, and mitigation practices
  • Ability to analyze merchant account details and recommend approval or decline within credit guidelines
  • Experience with merchant acquiring credit and risk management systems
  • Knowledge of merchant onboarding processes and external monitoring tools
  • Strong communication skills, including creating presentations in PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and SQL for data analysis and visualization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Desire for personal and professional development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced skills in Tableau and SQL
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a base salary ranging from $85,000 to $88,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Additional incentives include short-term and deferred bonuses based on performance.

Key provides a flexible, mobile-friendly work environment, allowing roles to be performed primarily from home or in Key facilities.
