Job summary

RogueSearch, a Fortune 250 leader in homebuilding, is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to analyze claims, losses, and financial data for risk financing and actuarial support.

You will partner with brokers for renewals, assist with reserve analyses, and support captive insurance operations. A bachelor’s degree and 4–7 years’ experience are required, with advanced Excel skills and excellent communication. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in finance, risk management, accounting, business or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in risk management, insurance, risk finance, or related finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of property & casualty insurance, actuarial concepts, and accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills with large datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze claims, loss, exposure, and financial data to support risk financing and insurance renewals.
  • Prepare actuarial submissions, loss triangles, and supporting analyses; assist with reserve analyses.
  • Partner with brokers and carriers on data for renewals and renewals submissions.
  • Support captive insurance and financial reporting, including GL reconciliations and monthly close.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Risk Analyst will analyze the Company's claims, loss, exposure, insurance, and financial data to support risk financing, actuarial analysis, insurance renewals, captive insurance operations, and business decision-making.

What you will do:
Risk, Finance & Actuarial Analysis:

Analyze loss, claims, and exposure data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities to improve risk performance. Prepare actuarial submissions, loss triangles, reports, and supporting analyses. Assist with premium and loss allocations, reserve analysis, and risk financing initiatives.

Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for insurance and risk programs. Analyze insurance expenses, loss allocations, and cost-benefit opportunities while supporting internal financial controls and reporting.

Insurance & Renewals:

Partner with insurance brokers, carriers, and reinsurers on loss data, underwriting information, and renewals. Monitor significant claims and policy/aggregate erosion and prepare carrier loss runs, reinsurance billings, and renewal submissions.

Captive Insurance:

Support captive insurance and risk retention group financial reporting, including cash flow projections, reserve analysis, financial statements, monthly close activities, and general ledger reconciliations. Partner with captive managers, actuaries, auditors, and other external partners.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 4–7 years of experience in risk management, insurance, risk finance, actuarial support, claims analysis, or a finance-related role
  • Knowledge of property & casualty insurance, risk management, actuarial concepts, and accounting
  • Experience with actuarial analysis, reserve studies, and/or insurance renewals
  • Captive insurance or risk retention group experience preferred
  • Understanding of insurance policies and contracts
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large datasets
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively partner with management and external insurance/business partners
