aytm “Ask Your Target Market” is looking to hire aSenior
Research Manager to join our growing Research Services department. aytm’s research services team primarily caters to full-service and assisted service accounts and is responsible for client facing market research responsibilities working with clients to define complex business objectives, selecting appropriate research methodology, designing surveys, survey programming, survey fielding and execution, data analysis and reporting.

This role will require: 1) Deep experience with all aspects online survey research,
specifically the management of quantitative market research projects of various sizes and complexity (multi-country studies, studies with advanced analytics, etc.) 2) Expertise in managing multiple priorities and communicating with stakeholder groups 3) Experience consulting on methodology and design with clients 4) Strong attention to detail and 5) A solution-oriented and customer focused approach.
(6) Experience managing or mentoring junior researchers.

Responsibilities:

Client Engagement

  • Independently, work with clients to define complex business objectives, and understand the scope and breadth of the research initiative.
  • Independently, consult with clients on methodology, design and building survey instruments.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the client and manage all client focused communication with assistance from the research analyst- daily updates, SLAs etc.
  • Serve as a thought partner to clients on various topics and attend conferences to build knowledge, client relationships and networking.

Research Management and Execution

  • Utilize the most appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques.
  • Independently outline sampling plan in line with the described techniques.
  • Independently design questionnaires based on the most appropriate research methodology to answer client objectives.
  • Oversee the field work initiative and manage any escalations that arise during execution of fieldwork in partnership with the Research Analysts.
  • Independently create analysis plans for moderate to high complexity studies.
  • Independently interpret data, write reports and make actionable recommendations.
  • Serve as a liaison with any assigned research vendors to uphold client and company best practices.
  • Ensure quality assurance of the deliverable is in line with client’s expectations.

Mentorship and Leadership

  • Mentor and coach research analysts to optimize surveys, write screeners, create analysis plans and frame/chart reports.
  • Review analysis and reports for junior members in the team for accuracy, logical consistency and value add; coach and mentor them as needed.
  • Serve as a knowledge resource to other internal teams, including sales and account management, product education, and product development teams.
  • Consistently develop own knowledge to match industry standards and broaden knowledge of methodology, techniques and tools.
  • Contribute to research related learning sessions within the team and help with training and team development.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, social sciences, or other related field, ideally with a quantitative emphasis on statistics or research methods.
  • 7+ years’ experience in quantitative market research, preferably supplier side or strong DIY experience on the client/corporate side
  • Experience independently executing all aspects of online survey research: design/questionnaire writing, programming, data analysis, and reporting. Experience with advanced methodologies (e.g., conjoint, MaxDiff, segmentation, etc.). Experience in CPG and/or technology verticals is also a plus.
  • Experience using one or more online survey platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects priorities in an agile and quick-turn environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills- must be able to collaborate internally as a part of team and externally with vendors and clients.
  • Skilled user of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Self-starter with a strong drive and motivation to have an impact.
