Nanobiosym in Cambridge, MA seeks a Research Associate with molecular biology experience to test novel technologies and develop testing procedures. You will acquire and analyze data, generate reports, and help define testing strategies in a fast-paced startup setting.

You’ll maintain lab records, apply statistics, and contribute to process improvements, using Excel and data-driven approaches to ensure reliable, high-quality results.

Formación

• BS degree in Biology; MS preferred in molecular biology or related fields.
• 2–5 years of academic or industry experience in molecular biology.
• Experience with qPCR or PCR preferred but not required.
• Experience in ISO 13485 environment and QSR knowledge preferred but not required.

Nanobiosym is currently seeking a talented research associate with molecular biology experience, to help test our new novel technologies. This role will include a combination of data acquisition, data analysis, statistics and troubleshooting, and the development of testing procedures.

DUTIES

• Perform novel technology testing, maintain laboratory records, and prepare reports.
• Define strategy for testing and optimization.
• Create and champion new internal processes of testing, data collection, data acquisition, and data analysis
• Expertise with excel and statistics
• Exercise technical judgment on test requirements, developing recommendations and translating into course of action

Qualifications

• BS degree in Biology, MS in Molecular Biology Preferred, bioinformatics, biostatistics
• Prefer 2-5 years of academic or industry experience in molecular biology
• Experience in qPCR or PCR preferred but not required
• Experience working in a BSL-2 or BSL-2+ facility preferred but not required
• Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment, and a working knowledge of ISO documentation & QSR requirements preferred but not required
• Experience testing and/or developing life sciences products, including meticulous laboratory notebook skills
• Must have an understanding of principles of statistics relevant to product testing
• Must have an understanding of failure mode and root cause analysis
• Prefer experience working in fast-paced startup environments
• Prefer experience with automation tools (i.e., run automation scripts, analyze reports and issues, report bugs)
