Job description

Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Associate 3, SOM position. The incumbent conducts highly specialized and complex research in support of the division’s research goals and assumes responsibility for the successful operations of the laboratory. They also supervise laboratory staff and serve as a subject matter expert and mentor.

Job Functions

1. Contribute to research activities by collecting and analyzing data.
2. Understand and interpret research protocols and procedures.
3. Maintain an overview of relevant research findings.
4. Ensure all research follows good research practices.
5. Design, evaluate, and implement methods and protocols for research projects.
6. Recommend purchase of new equipment.
7. Write scientific articles and manuscripts for publication and presentation.
8. Oversee the safe handling of radioactive and hazardous materials.
9. Prepare analytical reports on research data.
10. Adhere to university policies and safeguard assets.
