The Reporting Visualization Lead turns project and program data into clear, accurate reporting that helps leaders make better decisions on a large aviation capital program. This person bridges project management, project controls, and the digital team, and works closely with program leaders, program directors, project managers (PMs), construction managers (CMs), and stakeholders to understand what they need to know and why. The role requires on-site support in Austin, Texas. This is not a traditional data analyst role. We are looking for someone who understands how capital projects are delivered first, and data second: a person with strong Excel skills and a track record in project performance reporting. Power BI experience is a plus but not required; training and mentorship are available for the right candidate.
Develop and maintain program and project performance reporting on cost, schedule, change, risk, and delivery workflows. Translate project controls processes and leadership questions into meaningful metrics, KPIs, and exception-based reporting. Identify leading indicators of cost exposure, schedule delay, and process bottlenecks (for example, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and approvals). Provide both executive-level summaries and project-level detail, so users can move from the program view down to individual items. Question reporting requests when the proposed metric does not answer the underlying business question.
Serve as the functional liaison between project teams and the digital and data teams. Define business requirements for data sources, integration, and reporting structures. Validate reported data against source systems (such as Procore, Primavera P6, and the owner’s financial management system) and investigate inconsistencies. Contribute to KPI definitions, data governance, and reporting standards. Recommend improvements to source-system setup and data entry practices that improve reporting quality. Dedicated digital resources support data integration and infrastructure; this role is not expected to build or maintain those on its own.
Work with program leaders, program directors, PMs, CMs, and stakeholders to understand how reporting is used and what decisions it supports. Review existing reports for gaps, redundancies, and misleading metrics, and retire reports that no longer add value. Anticipate reporting needs as projects move through their lifecycle and as priorities change. Reduce manual reporting effort and build confidence in program data. Champion data-driven decision-making across program and project teams.
