Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Regulatory Specialist to support regulatory processes and documentation, including nutrition labeling and ingredient statements. You will liaise with RD&A, QA, and Operations to ensure compliance and timely delivery of technical data sheets.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in regulatory roles focused on nutrition panels, labels, and certifications (halal, kosher, organic, RSPO, fair trade) and have strong experience with international regulations and US labeling reviews.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and operation of various regulatory processes and procedures efficiently and timely.

• Conduct administrative duties within defined guidelines.

• Manage technical and customer documentation and data accurately and within tight timeframes.

• Create and maintain technical and food safety documentation.

• Respond to internal and external stakeholders by providing technical guidance, determinations, and documentation.

• Liaise with RD&A, QA, and Operations for technical documentation review and management control.

• Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers to contribute to overall department Key Performance Indicators.

• Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Regulatory expertise in ingredient statements, nutrition labels, nutrition panels, and kosher certification.

• 7+ years of experience in regulatory work focused on nutritional panels, labels, ingredient statements, and technical data sheets.

• Experience with certificates such as halal, kosher, organic, RSPO, and fair trade.

• Proficiency in managing customer forms and support, handling general inquiries, and working with customer portals.

• Experience with international regulations, including label review for products intended for sale in the US.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $52.88/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
