Job summary

Abbott in Chicago is seeking a Regional Leadless Specialist for the Cardiac Rhythm Management Leadless division. This field-based role collaborates with physicians, nurses and healthcare teams to drive adoption and procedural success of leadless pacing technologies.

You will provide technical, clinical, educational and sales support, deliver training, stay current with clinical data, and coordinate programs to expand market access while ensuring compliance and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years clinical medical device experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience within Cardiac Rhythm Management.
• Comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
• Ability to collaborate and work with others effectively.
• High-level comfort navigating the medical environment, including labs and hospital settings.
• Proven success in leading and influencing customers; ability to guide course-correct as needed.
• Ability to prepare and present effectively written and verbal communications.
• Thorough familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures.
• Significant business travel required.

Responsibilities

• Educates physicians, nurses, educators, and other health care providers on indications and selection of patients for leadless pacing.
• Provides procedural support following instructions for use / trial protocol and best practices to facilitate procedural consistency and best clinical outcomes.
• Assists in education and training activities for Abbott personnel.
• Stays abreast of and communicates clinical data regarding leadless CRM products.
• Coordinates, delivers, and implements programs and resources to facilitate market expansion and therapy access.
• Provides market intelligence for fine‑tuning therapy training and expansion plans.
• Serves as liaison with marketing for technology improvements and next‑generation product feedback.
• Completes administrative reporting as assigned.
• Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status.
• Uses best business practices to ensure success and cost‑effectiveness in areas of responsibility.
• Ensures employee compliance with Abbott policies and practices.

What You'll Work On

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years clinical medical device experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience within Cardiac Rhythm Management.
• Comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
• Ability to collaborate and work with others effectively.
• High-level comfort navigating the medical environment, including labs and hospital settings.
• Proven success in displaying confidence in leading and influencing customers; ability to confidently provide guidance to course‑correct as needed.
• Ability to prepare and present effectively written and verbal communications.
• Thorough familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures.
• Expert verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of frequently used personal computer programs and applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Significant business travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cardiac leadless device training/education certification or designation.
• Previous sales experience and/or demonstrated business acumen.
