Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You have spent time at the intersection of physics and software, building simulation tools that engineers trust to sign off on multimillion-dollar designs. You understand that a thermal model is only as good as its ability to predict real-world failure modes, and you have debugged FEM (Finite Element Method) solvers to know where the math breaks down and where the implementation does.
You are comfortable reading a C++ codebase (coming for a Mechanical or Material Science background), reviewing heat transfer theory, and optimizing a distributed solver, we want to talk to you! When someone describes a new FinFET thermal challenge or a 3DIC stress problem, you start sketching the physics and thinking about how the code needs to change to handle it.
You do not need perfect requirements. You work with technical leads and product managers to define what needs building, then you build it. Medium-sized projects do not scare you; they energize you because you know how to break them into pieces, validate as you go, and deliver on time without cutting corners. At Synopsys, you will work on simulation tools that help the semiconductor industry solve the hardest Multiphysics problems at the edge of what is physically possible.
You will join the Research and Development team that builds Synopsys Multiphysics simulation and modeling tools. This team works on the software that helps semiconductor companies ensure thermal and structural integrity and reliability of the most complex ICs in production today. The problems you will solve are rooted in real physics, the code you will write has to handle real-world scale and complexity, and the tools you will build are used for sign-off decisions across the industry.
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings.
At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education. The base salary range for this role is across the U.S.
