Magna International Limited, through Cosma International, seeks a Quality Department Leader to drive quality performance across the organization. You will define quality standards, lead audits and corrective actions, and partner with Operations, Engineering, and Suppliers to ensure product and supplier quality.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, implementation of quality systems, and mentoring QA staff to strengthen the management system in a global automotive environment.

Formación

• Requires a technical bachelor's degree.
• 3–5 years' experience managing technical personnel and complex activities.
• Experience in engineering or technical operations including quality management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the Quality Department, driving quality performance and continuous improvement.
• Develop, monitor, and report key quality metrics using data analysis to identify issues and lead corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain quality systems, documentation, and controls for compliance with customer requirements and standards.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers to define quality standards and improve processes.
• Lead customer quality activities including audits, corrective actions, and 8D problem-solving.
• Supervise quality personnel, testing activities, inspections, and measurement systems to ensure effective QA practices.
• Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking best practices and leading cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Quality Department, driving quality performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Develop, monitor, and report key quality metrics (KOIs/KPIs), using data analysis to identify issues, track performance, and lead corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain quality systems, procedures, documentation, and controls to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers to define quality standards, improve processes, and ensure product and supplier quality.
• Lead customer quality activities, including audits, corrective actions, 8D problem-solving, customer concerns, and compliance with customer specifications.
• Supervise quality personnel, training programs, testing activities, inspections, CMM and measurement systems, and Layered Process Audits to ensure effective quality assurance practices.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by benchmarking best practices, supporting preventive and predictive quality initiatives, and leading cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and strengthen the management system.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university in a technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.)

WORK EXPERIENCE/ TECHNICAL TRAINING:

• Three to five years’ experience of managing technical personnel and complex activities, potentially in project management of complex projects.
• The experience should be gained in engineering or technical operations including quality management.
• Familiar with APQP and SPC concepts both theoretical and practical, CMM equipment and data analysis, problem statements and root cause analysis, common problem solving methods and techniques.
