This position is part of Novanta’s Robotics & Automation group and is one of the company’s core capability pillars. This group focuses on delivering ultra‑precise, high‑reliability motion, sensing, and robotic end‑of‑arm technologies designed for mission‑critical applications across advanced manufacturing, surgical robotics, logistics automation, and emerging humanoid systems.
The Senior Director, Quality will lead the global quality organization across several manufacturing sites, providing strategic leadership and oversight of key initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving high quality standards, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who thrives in complex, multi‑site environments and is passionate about developing high‑performing teams and fostering a culture of quality excellence. The Senior Director will ensure product quality for the Robotics and Automation business and will report directly to the VP of Operations.
As needed for global team leadership, multi‑site oversight, and customer/vendor engagement.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The salary for this role will range from 187,625 to 280,400 annually based on full‑time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc. Certain roles may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation and /or long‑term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
