Job summary

TE Connectivity in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Sr. Quality & Reliability Engineer to drive cross functional teams, conduct root cause analysis on quality issues, and implement corrective actions across internal and external processes.

You will liaise with customers and engineering to ensure prompt, effective resolutions and sustained quality improvement. Experience with FMEA, SPC, 8D problem solving and knowledge of stamping/plating processes are valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Five years of experience in quality or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with quality control and assurance, RCA and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality reviews and internal audits; evaluate data and write reports showing deviations from standards.
  • Monitor product life cycle processes for compliance with standards and practices.
  • Analyze data and product specs to set quality and reliability objectives for finished products.
  • Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to improve quality and resolve problems.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and resolutions of quality issues.

TE Connectivity in Greensboro, NC is looking for a Sr. Quality & Reliability Engineer to drive and engage cross functional teams to conduct root cause analysis on both internal and external quality issues and formulate resolutions in a timely manner. Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of actions. Apply specialized knowledge of the fundamentals of TEOA (continuous improvement), knowledge of machines and special and unique products of TE Connectivity. Be the first contact for customer complaints and concerns, providing quick and accurate responses. Keep close contact with customers, being the link between customer and the plant. Assist Manufacturing Engineering in development of acceptable process values and associated monitoring for key components. Work with Product Engineering on new product development concerning inspection methodologies and tolerancing using quality tools including, but not limited to, FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5-Y problem solving tools. Apply knowledge in direct identification of root cause, drive improvement actions and resolve problems.

Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.

Special Requirements : Requires 5 years of experience with the following:

  • Quality Control and Assurance.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving.
  • Customer Communication and Relationship Management.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards and Regulations.
  • Technical Knowledge of Stamping and Plating Processes.

May require employment and background checks.

Ensures that products being built and processes being used adhere to all standards and requirements; implements quality assurance practices, processes, and procedures.

Job Requirements
  • Performing quality reviews and internal audits; evaluating data and writing reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Monitoring product life cycle processes and products for adherence to company and regulatory standards and practices; participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of the finished product.
  • Recommending modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality; participating in the resolution of quality problems and reports on progress made.
