Job summary

Verisma is seeking a Senior QA Test Engineer to own software quality and testing across the full SDLC. You will create automated tests, build scalable automation frameworks, and partner with the QA team to improve testing practices for web applications and APIs.

You will design comprehensive test plans, mentor junior engineers, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and drive test coverage while ensuring security and compliance for PHI data.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 10+ years in software testing and QA.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile, Selenium, C#, Azure, API testing and performance testing.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to document processes.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment; strong communication and collaboration.

This includes creating automated tests, building and scaling our automation framework, and working closely with the QA team to ensure software QA testing best practices.

This includes creating automated tests, building and scaling our automation framework, and working closely with the QA team to ensure software QA testing best practices. Duties & Responsibilities

• Create testing and automation plan, estimates, and project plan for software QA
• Work with product owners to plan and create test cases and scenarios
• Guide, coach, and mentor junior QA engineers
• Work with product owners, dev ops, and software engineers to create a continuous delivery process
• Work closely with engineers, testers, and product management throughout organization to influence product development assisting or improving products
• Learn and display knowledge of how projects and products would add value to the business
• Design and implement comprehensive test automation frameworks and strategies for web applications, APIs, and data pipelines
• Build and maintain automated test suites using modern tools and frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Pytest, etc.)
• Develop automated tests for REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Create performance and load testing solutions to validate system scalability
• Implement automated security and compliance testing for PHI data handling
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage and effectiveness
• Conduct code reviews for test automation code
• Establish testing standards, patterns, and best practices
• Lead initiatives to improve test infrastructure and tooling
• Drive automation coverage metrics and reporting

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science and Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience, required
• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in software testing and QA
• Demonstrated success building and launching excellent products
• Competency in Scrum or other agile and iterative processes as well as Selenium, C#, Azure, API testing, and performance testing
• Proven analytical skills to solve complex problems by manipulating and utilizing business data
• Able to deliver effective documentation
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, high-intensity, deadline-oriented work environment
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills required to document and communicate with internal and external resources
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail required to ensure accuracy and effective execution of all projects and tasks undertaken
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter while possessing excellent teamwork skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with multiple departments
