Job summary

Sundt, an employee-owned contractor, is seeking a dedicated proposal specialist to support bids across Transportation, Industrial, Building, and Renewable sectors. You will write, organize, and coordinate high-quality pursuit deliverables, partnering with pursuit leaders and business development to win work.

The role requires strong writing, organizational skills, and industry knowledge, with opportunities to advance to senior level handling complex pursuits and leading deliverables.

Qualifications

Must be a skilled writer and able to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to varying audiences.
1-3 years of marketing/proposal experience in A/E/C; 4-7 years for Senior position eligibility.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, communications, journalism, or similar preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite programs; knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cosential preferred.

Responsibilities

Actively participates in quality control, researching information to resolve issues and improve pursuit processes.
Maintains Sundt's Brand Guidelines and Pursuit Process Guidelines.
Manages design and production of each deliverable with quality, scheduling, and on-time delivery.
Senior Level: Able to manage complex pursuits independently.
Senior Level: Performs all listed responsibilities with minimal oversight.
Senior Level: Acts as a subject matter expert for pursuit deliverables and best practices.
Leads coordination of pursuit deliverables (prequalification materials, SQQ/proposals, presentations) and develops key sections.
Supports Content and Data Management by capturing pursuit deliverables per guidelines.
Works with team to craft consistent messaging and win strategies.

Job Summary

As dedicated resources within each operating group (Transportation, Industrial, Building, and Renewables), proposal specialists support Sundt's efforts to win work by creating winning pursuit deliverables.
Working alongside pursuit leaders and business development personnel, proposal specialists create best-in class proposals and presentations. This person will be highly motivated, have strong organizational and proven proposal skills, and strong industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Actively participates in quality control process, including performing research or information-gathering as required to resolve issues, and supports efficiencies to improve the overall pursuit process.
Maintains and reinforces standards set forth in Sundt's Brand Guidelines, Style Guide, Pursuit Process Guidelines, etc.
Provides overall management of each assigned deliverable's design and production process with responsibility for quality, scheduling, and on-time delivery.
Senior Level: Able to effectively manage complex pursuits independently.
Senior Level: Performs all listed responsibilities with minimal oversight.
Senior Level: Serves as a subject matter expert for pursuit-related deliverables and shares industry best practices.
Serves as lead coordinator of individual pursuit-related deliverables (i.e., prequalification materials, SQQ/proposals, and presentation materials), with responsibility to write or develop key sections.
Supports Sundt's Content and Data Management efforts by capturing all pursuit-related deliverables and information in accordance with Pursuit Process Guidelines.
Works with other pursuit team members to help develop and craft consistent messaging, layouts, and presentations of Sundt themes, as well as building upon win strategies, ideas, skills, and capabilities.

Minimum Job Requirements

1-3 years of marketing/proposal experience in A/E/C industry; 4-7 years for Senior position eligibility.
Additional professional or technical certifications ideal.
Bachelor of marketing, English, communications, journalism, or similar preferred.
Must be a skilled writer and able to effectively communicate highly technical concepts, terms and processes to varying audiences.
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite programs required; knowledge of full Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, and Cosential (or other CRM database) preferred.
