Seeking an experienced Senior Property Tax Accountant that is excited about working in the dynamic renewable energy and construction industry. This position will report to the Manager and is responsible for maintaining the management of property taxes and other ad hoc reporting for a large multi-entry structure.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare property tax inquiry submissions and allocation to the appropriate team member for resolution
  • Maintain property tax calendar to ensure all filings are timely processed, including updating for new farms as completed
  • Support property tax controversy as arisen, including response to notices, assessments, audit preparation, etc.
  • Preparation of annual property tax accrual to be used by asset management and fund accounting
  • Preparation of property tax listings for all jurisdictions, including solar farms and corporate level entities
  • Review property tax assessments
  • Review and submittal of personal and real property tax bills
  • Conduct all property tax mailings
  • Ensure timely completion of all property tax obligations
  • Work with Manager on other projects as assigned

Must-Haves

  • Must have experience with property tax across many states
  • Solar, fund, construction, and/or real estate accounting experience
  • Experience with joint ventures and complex organizational structures preferred
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and Oracle Fusion accounting software a plus
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, make decisions, prioritize job duties, and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel Skills ability to do detailed formulas such as; VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, etc.
  • Proficient at MS Office

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 years of corporate and/or public accounting experience
  • CPA Preferred

Working Environment and Physical Demand

  • Position works in an office environment
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer, for extended periods of time
