Job summary

  • Lead telecom and data center infrastructure projects from turnover through acceptance.

  • Build strong relationships with general contractors and stakeholders.

Focus
  • Lead multiple telecom and data center infrastructure projects from turnover through final acceptance, balancing schedule, cost, quality, and client communication
  • Turn drawings, specifications, budgets, and handoff materials into clear execution plans that define labor strategy, procurement timing, sequencing, and installation milestones
  • Partner closely with field leadership and technical support teams to keep fiber, copper, pathway, and related low‑voltage scopes moving safely and efficiently
  • Own project reporting, cost tracking, forecasting, and KPI visibility, identifying risk early and keeping leadership informed on job health
  • Manage client‑facing and internal documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change requests, shop drawing coordination, and closeout deliverables
  • Support material planning and vendor coordination so the right products arrive at the right time for each phase of work
  • Build strong working relationships with general contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders across fast‑paced construction environments
  • Help deliver projects that meet schedule expectations, protect margin, and create a strong customer experience from kickoff through completion
Skill Set
  • 5 or more years of project management experience in telecom, structured cabling, low‑voltage, or related construction environments
  • Hands‑on knowledge of fiber and copper infrastructure, structured cabling systems, and data center or other technically demanding project settings
  • Strong ability to read plans, specifications, and construction documents, then translate them into executable field strategies
  • Experience managing reporting, forecasting, schedules, budgets, and cost performance across multiple active projects
  • Comfort working with Excel, project tracking tools, and construction documentation platforms such as Bluebeam or similar systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across field teams, leadership, subcontractors, and customers
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid role that includes regular site presence across the Washington DC‑Baltimore market
Preferred Background
  • Experience in mission‑critical or data center environments
  • Exposure to public sector, education, transportation, or other complex commercial projects
  • Familiarity with change management, closeout documentation, shop drawing review, and customer handoff processes
  • Relevant professional certifications within the telecommunications, network infrastructure, or low‑voltage systems field are considered beneficial
