Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager for heavy civil and bridge construction in the Raleigh area. You will work closely with the project superintendent to ensure direction, completion, and financial success of assigned projects.

• Has managed multiple site projects.

• Manage all aspects of the project’s contract management, planning, scheduling, budget, quality, safety, and employee development.
• Oversee profit margins and all financial aspects of assigned construction project(s).
• Assist in timely drafting and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Review and approve monthly subcontractor pay requisitions.
• Oversee schedule development and updates with project staff.
• Prepare and review payment requisitions and report project financial status monthly.
• Develop plan and schedule with Superintendent to meet project goals.

SR PROJECT MANAGER - HEAVY CIVIL & BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

Position Summary

Branch is searching for an experienced, detail-oriented and organized Senior Project Manager to join our well-established, growing company. This position works closely with the project superintendent to ensure overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of assigned projects. Oversees or participates in the allocation of resources to ensure a safe, timely, and quality project while meeting all project goals. The Senior Project Manager is the primary contact with Owner’s representative(s), Subcontractors, Suppliers and other company departments / personnel and pursues exemplary business relationships with same.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Authority on contract between the owner, subs, etc. and the Company to ensure effective project administration
• Responsible for all aspects of the project’s contract management, planning, scheduling, budget, quality, safety, and employee development
• Responsible for profit margins and fully managing all financial aspects of assigned construction project(s)
• Collaboratively aid in the timely drafting and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders
• Review and approve monthly subcontractor pay requisitions
• Oversee schedule development and update in conjunction with the project staff
• Oversee preparation of monthly project financial projections and reports to the appropriate Company executive leadership members
• Prepare and review payment requisitions, communicate changes, and report project financial status monthly
• Develop an effective plan and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent for constructing the project and help determine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals
• Develop new business opportunities relative to a client or group of clients and foster positive owner relationships
• Adhere to the terms of the contract, assure quality, minimize costs, and promote safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
• 10-15 years of Project Management experience (Project Engineer experience does not count) in site work including individual projects over $50M+
• Experience using P6 scheduling software, MRS Project, Vista; MS Office and Procore
• Must have Project Manager experience running multiple projects at one time

Travel

Within the working region. This position requires frequent field visits, 50% field and 50% office or as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility

Directly supervises three to eight employees and consultants involved in each project. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
