Job summary

Aldevron, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Gene Editing in Coralville, IA. You will lead complex client programs from initiation to release, serving as the primary client contact for gene editing and gRNA manufacturing.

You will guide project teams, manage plans and risks, and balance quality, cost, and timelines to deliver high-impact biotechnologies. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field; Masters/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical/CDMO with project management.
• Experience managing client-facing projects in a regulated environment.
• Understanding GMP product manufacturing from initiation through release.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client programs focused on GMP guide RNA manufacturing and related gene editing products.
• Serve as the primary client contact for gene editing programs and gRNA manufacturing.
• Lead project team meetings and governance forums to align scope, timelines, and deliverables.

The Senior Project Manager, Gene Editing is responsible for leading complex client programs focused on GMP guide RNA (gRNA) manufacturing and related gene editing products. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients and is accountable for driving cross-functional execution from project initiation through manufacturing, release, and project closure.

This position reports into the Project Management team, and is located in Coralville, IA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Serve as the primary client contact for gene editing and gRNA manufacturing programs.
• Lead project team meetings and governance forums to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk registers, action trackers, and client and internal communications for client programs and site-specific process and capability-building projects.
• Manage client expectations while balancing business, quality, and operational requirements.
• Identify, manage, and elevate critical risks and issues, driving timely resolution across client programs and site-specific process and capability-building projects.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

This role may include up to 15% travel.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field, Masters or PhD preferred.
• Prefer 8+ years of experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CDMO industry, including significant project management experience and a technical background in product development, manufacturing, quality, or related scientific disciplines.
• Experience managing client-facing projects
• Experience in a regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical field or CDMO experience preferred
• Understanding of GMP product manufacturing from initiation through release capabilities
