Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager in the Knoxville area to lead multi-discipline design teams on federal and private market projects, including DoD, DoE, NASA, VA and others.

You will own projects from inception to completion and drive client relationships while delivering high-quality solutions. This role requires strong leadership across design disciplines, experience with design-build delivery, and the ability to travel up to 25% to project sites as needed. U.S.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor level degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited program.
  • PE or RA preferred.
  • 10+ years of multi-discipline facility design/project management experience.
  • Experience with federal agency project delivery.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance (DOE Q Level).
  • LEED AP BD+C, PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison between client and project team, leading meetings and ensuring delivery of final projects.
  • Execute project management procedures and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve project problems.
  • Lead scope, schedule, and budget management across multiple projects.
  • Assist sales team with business development efforts.
  • Mentor team members and develop client relationships.
  • Ensure profitability and alignment with company strategy.
  • Travel to project sites or offices as required (under 25%).

What We're Looking For:

Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead multi-discipline design teams responsible for executing projects withinour Federal Market sector and Private Market Sector. Projects may includeDepartment of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DoE), National Aeronauticsand Space Administration (NASA), Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Interiors(DOI) or other federal government agencies as well as projects through privatedevelopers, commercial, energy and industrial market sectors. Our project managers own the project frominception to completion and are responsible for delivering quality solutions,maintaining relationships with our clients, providing leadership for ourproject teams, and overall project success. Projects can be design-bid-build, design-build RFP development, ordesign-build delivery methods. Periodictravel to project sites may be required. The ideal candidate will be in the Knoxville area.

Responsibilities

  • Periodic travel to project sites and/or Barge officesmay be required. Expected time ontravel is less than 25%.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical,Electrical, or Structural engineering from an accredited program or relevantdegree required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)preferred.
  • 10+ years’ of related experience in multi-disciplinefacilitydesign/project management required.
  • Experience with Federal agency project deliveryrequired.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance (DOE QLevel).
  • Strong design and technical credibility.
  • Excellent oral, written and graphical communicationskills.
  • Ability to effectively manage concurrent projects anddeadlines.
  • Strong teambuilding skills.
  • Able to collaborate with other design disciplines.
  • Experience with design-build projects preferred.
  • Experience with NQA-1 quality assurance processes is preferable.
  • LEED AP BD+C, PMP or other relevant certifications aplus
