Job Type : Full Time Location : Woburn, Massachusetts Pay : Great Pay! Job Description Works for the PMO Manager to execute the Market business plan and associated goals. Will serve as Project Executive on majority of projects within client portfolio and manage, train, and mentor PMs working within client portfolio to lead multi-discipline project teams in their required functional duties. Success is dependent on Key Functional Partnerships with Administrative Services, Business Development, Marketing, Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Principals, and other departments as needed.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for business strategies and financial performance of his/her own client/project portfolios.
  • Responsible for project development, proposals, contractual agreements, and full understanding of client portfolio and project requirements.
  • Conducts client visits/meetings, research and creates reports to ensure client requirements and quality standards of the firm have been met.
  • Leads Project Managers to develop execution strategies and provides guidance and support for effective client relationships and successful projects.
  • Directly manages large or strategic projects withing the portfolio.
  • Ensures client service excellence from original authorization through studies and reports, design, construction, and post-construction. Meets all client requirements and quality standards of the firm.
  • Ensures effective and professional service delivery with the highest levels of ethics and professionalism.
  • Monitor client portfolio and project budgets weekly by reviewing labor charges (hours) in Deltek.
  • Utilize out of scope work log to identify and report scope changes.
  • Initiate contract amendments with Arch/Owner to support additional compensation for scope changes. Support the scope increase negotiations through closure or final resolution.
  • Manage client project portfolios’ earned value completion status using earned value template and communicate status to entire project team and stakeholders.
  • Meet with PMO Manager on a biweekly basis to review backlog, set priorities and replenish ready backlog.
  • Meet with Market Leader to update portfolio bookings, revenue, profit status.
  • Attend and provide schedule input to project planning meetings.
  • Plan and review monthly invoices.
  • Assist in collection of outstanding accounts receivable payments.
  • Reviews and approves subconsultant invoicing.
  • Review on-time-delivery status of project portfolio on a weekly basis.
  • Writing proposals for additional scope requests or new projects.
  • Develop scope and technical approaches for strategic proposals identified by Market Leader.
  • Prepare for and attend pursuit interviews with Market Leader, PM(s) and Marketing.
  • Communicate client opportunities and issues with Market Leader and work together to solve and maintain client relationship(s).
  • Attend project meeting(s) with owner, architect, contractor(s) and/or subconsultant(s).
  • Working with PMs, support regular internal project coordination meetings to disseminate relevant project information, earned value expectations, and provide overall direction to the team.
  • Accountable for ensuring proper technical review of project deliverables to ensure responsiveness to scope and client needs/objectives.
  • Ensure internal QA/QC process is planned and achieved.
  • Monitor the weekly CA log to assess outstanding shop drawing and RFI responses.
  • Communicate with the Project managers and/or project teams on overdue items or other priority items.
  • Attend periodic construction progress meetings.
  • Provide technical reviews of projects.
  • Provide market specific technical blogs in concert with marketing campaign.
  • Post technical topics to yammer.
  • Provide learning opportunities for the staff through lunch presentations on clinical engineering aspects of our work.
  • Support CSG activities including conference presentations, published articles and other technical writing campaigns.

What you will need:

  • 10+ years engineering experience
  • 5+ years Project Management/Management experience working for a professional consulting firm.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Must have a general understanding of building MEP/FP systems, including plumbing, fire protection, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical systems, and special systems. Must be able to draw on team’s technical staff as necessary to answer client questions and concerns.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices relating to design, construction, and codes.
  • Must have proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing a portfolio of clients and projects.
