Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary delivery leader for a portfolio of client engagements within the utility industry.

• Partner closely with Account Managers to support account growth and identify expansion opportunities.
• Act as a bridge between customers, account management, and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Manage project financials including budgets, margins, forecasting, and delivery metrics.
• Communicate project health, risks, mitigation strategies, and business outcomes to both technical and executive audiences.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio that may include permitting operations, GIS initiatives, dashboard development, application development efforts, and operational programs.

We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Consulting division and oversee a growing portfolio of projects supporting our strategic utility industry clients. This role sits at the intersection of customer success, project delivery, and people leadership, serving as a trusted partner to both client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading customer engagements across a variety of workstreams for a portfolio of customers in the utility industry. Current project examples include permitting operations, GIS and dashboard initiatives, application development projects, and other utility-focused programs. This role is organized around customer ownership and delivery excellence rather than technical specialization. While you'll collaborate with technical and operational teams, you will not be expected to serve as the subject matter expert in every discipline. Instead, you'll drive successful project outcomes, build strong client relationships, develop high-performing teams, and ensure projects deliver measurable business value.

Success for this role comes from the ability to lead diverse teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, and adapt across a variety of project types and customer needs.

Experience & Capability Expectations

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or similar field.
• Approximately 5–8 years of project management experience; utilities, engineering, or construction experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability.
• Comfort working in structured systems such as ERP, CRM, and project management tools.

• Utility transmission, electric, gas, or infrastructure experience.
