Job summary

Iambic Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional planning and execution of clinical drug development programs. This role requires coordinating study timelines, milestones, and deliverables from start-up to execution, with oncology experience preferred.

The position is on-site at our San Diego Headquarters. The ideal candidate will manage vendor relationships (CROs), develop detailed plans, and ensure regulatory submissions and adherence to timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, healthcare, or business with 7+ years in pharma/biotech, or Master’s with 5+ years.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage timelines and cross-functional coordination.
• Familiarity with regulatory submission processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills across disciplines.
• PM tools include Smartsheet, SharePoint, Confluence; PMP or training a plus.

• Lead planning, execution, and tracking of project timelines and deliverables per program milestones.
• Oversee third-party vendors (e.g., CROs) including scope, timelines, and performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans across development workstreams.
• Coordinate with Clinical Operations to track study timelines from start-up to execution.
• Facilitate meetings: agendas, minutes, action items, follow-through.
• Maintain project documentation: status reports, risk registers, timelines.
• Identify risks/delays/resource gaps and implement mitigation strategies.
• Foster communication across Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Safety, Biostatistics, Data Management, CMC, DMPK.

JOB SUMMARY

Iambic Therapeutics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead cross-functional planning and execution of clinical drug development programs. This role will work closely with all clinical development functions to manage and track clinical study timelines and deliverables from study start-up through execution. This position requires excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex activities across multiple workstreams and external partners. Experience in oncology drug development and familiarity with Clinical Operations is highly desirable. This position will be on-site at our San Diego Headquarters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead planning, execution, and tracking of project timelines and deliverables to ensure alignment with program milestones and corporate goals.
• Support relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., CROs), including oversight of scope, deliverables, timelines, and performance to ensure quality and accountability.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain detailed project plans across development workstreams, including scenario planning, resource forecasting, risk assessments, and budget tracking.
• Partner with the Clinical Operations team to develop, update, and track clinical study timelines and critical path activities from study start-up through execution.
• Facilitate internal team meetings by creating agendas, capturing meeting minutes and decisions, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-through.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including status reports, risk registers, timelines, and meeting records.
• Monitor progress against project plans and proactively identify risks, delays, or resource gaps; lead or support development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
• Foster strong communication among Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Safety/Pharmacovigilance, Biostatistics, Data Management, CMC, and DMPK.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, healthcare, or business-related discipline with 7+ years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience. Oncology experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage timelines, cross-functional coordination, and third-party vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with regulatory submission processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across disciplines and levels.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, SharePoint, Confluence, or similar).
• PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
