Job summary

AMTSOL in Ohio, USA is seeking a Sr Project Manager for Capital Projects and Packaging Operations in a hybrid role. You will lead projects from design through qualification, coordinating engineers, vendors and operations to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of pharma/biotech capital project experience, PMP, and a track record delivering packaging lines and serialization. This role requires managing TIC above $30M and close interaction with leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of capital project management in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading projects through design, construction and qualification.
• Experience delivering packaging lines, line modifications or serialization projects.
• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up the project charter, execution plan, organization and governance.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, risk and change against the baseline.
• Report forecasts and variance explanations to leadership and steering committees.
• Lead design development, design reviews and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate engineers, contractors and equipment vendors with the construction team.
• Define packaging requirements including layout, throughput/OEE, labeling, vision and serialization.
• Manage packaging OEMs through specification, FAT, installation and SAT.
• Plan line installation and shutdowns to minimize disruption to live packaging operations.
• Integrate CQV into the project plan and drive operational readiness and handover.

Role Overview

Lead capital projects, including packaging operations, from design through construction, commissioning, qualification and handover to Operations.

• Strong cost, schedule and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience on complex capital projects with a total installed cost (TIC) above $30M.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with secondary packaging and combination products.
