Job summary

Rise Baking Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from initiation to delivery, ensuring governance and adherence to controls. You will train teams on project management tools and coordinate schedules, resources, and reporting across stakeholders.

The role emphasizes strong communication, risk management, and partnering with functional teams to deliver on time and within scope in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (business, communications, or related field preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience managing cross-functional projects.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent (PMI, Lean/Six Sigma, Scrum, etc.) preferred or working towards it.
  • Proficiency with at least one major project management platform (Smartsheet, MS Project, Primavera, Monday, Jira, Asana) and strong reporting skills (Power BI, Excel preferred).
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, drive accountability, and present to leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls: scheduling, budgeting, estimating, risk management, procurement, and change control.
  • Experience training/coaching others and driving adoption of standards and tools preferred.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, convey complex issues, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think quickly and handle frequent change.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and quality-driven.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, enforce, and improve EPMO frameworks and structures as set by the Senior Director of Transformation and EPMO
  • Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables in alignment with business goals
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Ensure deadlines are met and project milestones are achieved
  • Apply PMI and PMP methodologies to ensure consistent project execution and governance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; elevate as appropriate
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication, reporting, and change management
  • Facilitate project meetings, executive updates, and post-project reviews
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, reports, and files
  • Document processes, workflows, and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare status reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Job description

Job Purpose

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery and closing out across stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Serve as the Project Management Tools & Standards champion, training teams on project management tools, strengthening project governance, and driving consistent adherence to project controls, documentation, and reporting requirements by coordinating schedules, resources, communication, and administrative tasks. Work closely with stakeholders across functions to ensure projects stay organized, on track, and within scope.
