Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join our Gas Team in Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL; or Atlanta, GA.

You will oversee high-impact infrastructure programs for safe and reliable energy transport, influencing strategic asset investments while navigating a changing regulatory landscape. You will lead project delivery, mentor other PMs, develop proposals, and manage client relationships. A PE license and 10+ years of engineering/PM experience are required, with proficiency in Revit,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including 8 years of project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with gas infrastructure and strong QA/QC understanding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of gas infrastructure project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships.
• Serve as a 'seller/doer,' developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development.
• Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting growth.
• Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents.
• Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with standards.
• Interpret client contracts and manage relationships to meet client needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage all aspects of gas infrastructure project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships, while thoroughly understanding project risks and financial measures
• Serve as a "seller/doer," developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development for target market areas
• Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the team
• Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents
• Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standards
• Play a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are met

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including 8 years of project management experience required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
• Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision preferred
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project accounting processes
• Experience preparing proposals and project documentation as well as interpreting client contracts
• Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
• Ability to travel as needed

Salary Range:

$150,000 - $165,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
