Job summary

Barton Malow in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join our automotive project.

You will plan, develop, coordinate, supervise, and monitor onsite construction engineering activities and act as a liaison with architects, engineers, and owners to ensure progress and changes are communicated and executed. The role requires a 4-year engineering or related degree and 5+ years of construction experience, ideally in industrial or automotive settings.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering, construction management or related degree.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
• Prior industrial and/or automotive experience is preferred.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to be self-directed in problem-solving.
• Proactive attitude with commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for resolution and tracking project issues.
• Manage all project document control.
• Process submittals and RFI’s.
• Support Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders.
• Prepare and issue meeting minutes.
• Assist with planning and managing site logistics.
• Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite.
• Receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders.
• Manage plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities.
