We have an opening for a Senior Project Architect for our Workplace Sector. This role could be based in the following cities:

Position Summary

As a Senior Architect at DLR Group, you will take on a leadership role in managing key aspects of projects, overseeing the development and delivery of project documentation. You will collaborate closely with integrated design teams to produce high-quality work, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and work plans.

As part of our integrated design team, you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. You will partner directly with the Project Manager to ensure the financial health of the project, the quality of project documents, claim prevention, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions.

What you will do:

  • Lead project development, client relationships, and project implementation in coordination with the Client Leader and Project Manager.
  • Oversee and ensure quality assurance/control, adherence to practice standards, and protocol compliance
  • Align design intent with project schedules, budgets, and profitability targets
  • Spearhead conceptual design and technical strategies, coordinating all disciplines involved in building design
  • Present design and technical solutions to clients and stakeholders
  • Mentor and lead teams to produce high-quality deliverables and drive innovative design excellence
  • Execute quality assurance and control measures throughout all project phases
  • Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager and design team, ensuring alignment on design intent
  • Manage client expectations and foster strong relationships through effective presentations and engagement
  • Ensure timely project delivery while meeting budget and profitability goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Architecture
  • Professional licensure
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience preferably in Science & Tech or Research & Development (RD) projects
  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to coordinate consultants, walking through permitting and responses, is willing to contribute to design and technical solutions
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and other standard architecture software
  • Ability to lead sustainable design principles in technical plans and deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong organizational abilities
  • Active participation in professional organizations and involvement in marketing and business development activities
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

$100,000 - $150,000 USD
