Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to deliver comprehensive financial oversight for projects in the United States. You will ensure accurate accounting, timely reporting, and adherence to organizational standards to support project success.

The role involves analyzing moderately complex financial data, identifying risks based on precedent, and recommending solutions to maintain budgetary alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field (preferred).
• 4–6 years of experience in project accounting, financial management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manages moderately complex project accounting activities with large-scope, including budget tracking, cost analysis, and revenue recognition.
• Reviews project budget, costs, reports, and forecasts based on independent judgment and comprehensive project accounting experience.
• Analyzes the financial performance of projects by identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain project profitability.
• Collaborates with project teams to resolve moderately complex or varied accounting issues and support project delivery.
• Ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies in all project financial activities.
• Supports less experienced team members in resolving moderately complex project accounting issues and provides technical expertise on project accounting guidelines and processes.
• Implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in project accounting operations.
