Syneos Health is seeking a Sr Programmer-Sr Data Scientist/Analyst in Real-World Data to advance analyses using SAS and R. You will work with real-world data sources and cohort creation, applying epidemiologic methods and survival analyses to support drug development programs.
The role requires an advanced degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology, strong communication skills, and experience in a clinical setting. A remote work arrangement from NC is supported where applicable.

Programming Skills: Highly proficient in SAS or R.
Database Experience: Extensive familiarity with commercial claims and EHR databases, such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity.
Cohort Studies: Ability to conduct longitudinal cohort studies, including creating study cohorts, baseline and outcome variables from scratch.
Epidemiological Methods: Solid understanding of epidemiologic study designs and methodologies.
Statistical Expertise: Hands-on experience with basic statistical tests, regression models, and survival analysis.
Educational Background: Advanced degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology. Preferred: Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, but not necessarily.
