Job summary

SNC is seeking a Senior Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst in Colorado to provide expert scheduling oversight for complex programs. The Sr Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in scheduling, offering strategic oversight for multiple projects or programs. Role involves optimizing scheduling processes, developing advanced scheduling methodologies, and mentoring junior schedulers. Ensures all project schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with the organization's goals. This position requires a deep understanding of scheduling principles and the ability to manage complex schedules effectively. Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, development, and coordination of integrated master plans and schedules for highly complex projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Oversee the tracking and maintenance of project plans and schedules to ensure horizontal and vertical integration across the enterprise.
• Conduct advanced risk analysis to identify and proactively mitigate schedule risks, ensuring project timelines are met.
• Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts using Gantt, Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), milestone charts, and other advanced project management techniques.
• Evaluate schedule compliance and systematically identify reasons for completion shortfalls, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on schedule status to senior stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive scheduling data, fostering effective communication and coordination.
• Support program management in developing and implementing advanced scheduling best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior and intermediate analysts on advanced scheduling techniques and best practices, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree targeting Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, or a related field.
• Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project Professional or other similar scheduling tool or similar schedule toolset.
• Ability to proactively drive conversations and ask detailed questions.
• Must have excellent follow-up/follow-through skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with multi-faceted teams to drive issues to closure within your domain.
• Ability to confidently communicate status to completion on workload, and raise roadblocks/issues to team for mitigation.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar schedule toolset.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and systems.
• Understanding of DCMA 14-point & IPMDAR DI_MGMT-81861.
• Understanding of Mil Standard 881.
• Ability to apply Critical Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis.
