Housing and Residence Life is passionate about the Georgia Tech residential student experience. With 97% of all first-year students choosing to live on campus, we create spaces and opportunities for Yellow Jackets to grow and connect from their first day of college through their graduate studies. Our department is a large and complex organization supporting over 8,700 on-campus residents among 49 traditional, suite, and apartment-style residence halls, some of which were constructed for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Our team of 200+ professional staff and 300+ student staff from six units supports residents directly and indirectly with their unique talents. We are housed within the Campus Services division, which includes many student service offices. Job Summary

Oversee large, cross-functional programs; manage projects throughout their life cycle; and ensure accurate, timely reporting and budget requirements. This position will interact consistently with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. It typically advises and counsels faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. It will supervise assigned staff.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the program's main point of contact for internal stakeholders, faculty, and students; serve as liaison to appropriate campus business units to resolve operational matters; liaise with key points of contact within the center's ecosystem.
  • Develop and implement operating and administrative processes to manage day-to-day business operations consistent with Institute policies; define and communicate administrative staff duties; monitor performance and provide feedback. Manage HR functions for the team: hiring, immigration requirements, timekeeping, goals, and reviews.
  • Implement and execute the communications strategy, including center-wide tools such as Slack, websites, landing pages, SharePoint, Teams, AWS, regularly scheduled meetings, etc.
  • Ensure proper logistics, procedures, and support are in place for successful program operations; conduct administrative activities associated with program operations, such as procurement, records maintenance, compliance, NDAs, meeting arrangements and minutes, and document preparation.
  • Collect, verify, analyze data, and communicate results; prepare various reports and data submissions, as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with advisory boards and stakeholder groups; participate in strategic planning and ensure implementation of key objectives and milestones.
  • Manage preparation of financial-related reports and schedules; coordinate unit budget preparation, monitor, and prepare related reports.
  • Provide executive administrative management; manage activities to ensure a well-executed, highly complex schedule of daily activities; serve as primary scheduling contact with the campus and external community.
  • Manage events, symposia, and conferences, including evaluation/selection of venues and services, sponsor and volunteer relations, budgeting, logistics, and travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Proposed Salary

Pay Range: $72,000-$80,000/yr.

Other Information

The Program & Operations Manager Sr. for Living Learning Communities & Academic Partnerships provides leadership for the coordination, implementation, and assessment of Housing and Residence Life's academic engagement initiatives, living-learning communities (ex., Explore, Design Bloc, Grand Challenges, Honors Program), and residential academic partnerships with the Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Success and the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education. This position collaborates with academic colleges, campus partners, and residential staff to strengthen the connection between students' academic and residential experiences while supporting initiatives such as the residential tutoring program, faculty integration into the residence halls, academic intervention programs, and the coordination and implementation of LLCs. The role supervises professional staff responsible for implementing academic engagement opportunities day-to-day. It develops and maintains strategic relationships with academic offices and campus partners critical to the success of LLCs and other residential academic partnerships, while assessing and evaluating programs and services to strengthen student belonging, connection, and academic success.

This is a supervisory position.

Location: Atlanta, GA

On-call Requirement: The successful candidate must live within an hour of Georgia Tech and participate in after-hours on-call support for live-on staff.
