Job description

Sr Program Manager, Sub Same Day Delivery, SSD Delivery Ops Tech

Job ID: 10564225 | Amazon.com Services LLC

The candidate will be working as a member of the Sub‑Same Day (SSD) delivery team as we work to provide faster than same day delivery across North America. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager with proven program management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross‑functional, technology projects and programs within our Sub Same Day Delivery offering. These roles require scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross‑team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own and develop end‑to‑end program strategy and operations for SSD, driving measurable improvements in customer experience and business outcomes
  • Partner with Directors, Senior Managers, and technical leaders across the organization to align on strategic priorities and ensure successful program delivery
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Tech, Product, Operations, and Program teams, facilitating alignment and driving consensus across competing priorities
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve processes that scale to meet evolving business demands across global teams
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure on‑time delivery of features scoped in the product roadmap, balancing technical constraints with business requirements
  • Analyze operational barriers to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions that drive long‑term improvements
  • Proactively identify, escalation, and resolve critical issues that may impact program success, ensuring stakeholder awareness and mitigation plans
  • Develop and leverage data inputs, KPIs, and analytical insights to inform operational adjustments, measure program effectiveness, and report performance metrics to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) of new features and drive stakeholder adoption of delivered solutions
A day in the life

This role will play a critical role in the expansion of the sub‑same day program. It requires a high‑level of ownership over the end‑to‑end process, the ability to think outside of the box, willingness to disrupt the current processes to create a new process, the ability to design sustainable solutions and influence stakeholders. This role requires scoping large ambiguous projects, managing to project timelines, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. Cross‑team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.
