Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Software in Santa Clara, CA to lead the Ottava system development from design through initial release and future launches.

The role emphasizes end-to-end scheduling, OKR alignment, and a hybrid Agile approach to keep milestones on track. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and regulatory teams, manage risks, and drive strong team performance in a fast-paced, regulated medtech environment.

Formación

• BS in Engineering or related discipline is required.
• 8+ years of program management experience is required.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience preferred.
• Experience on large capital programs with complex subsystems (e.g., robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles) preferred.
• High performer with ability to manage a complex program in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to influence and resolve conflicts, align diverse stakeholders, and lead teams without direct reporting authority.
• Engineering mindset and technical capacity preferred.
• Experience with MSP; Agile and Jira preferred.
• Experience in a regulated medical device environment preferred.

We are searching for the best talent for our Sr. Program Manager, Software. This position will be located in Santa Clara, CA.

Job Description:

The Software Program Manager will be a core member of the team, responsible for the design and development of the Ottava system through initial release and subsequent launches. The role will be accountable for driving execution of the end-to-end Software schedules and breaking them down into actionable quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs). The individual will leverage a hybrid Agile methodology to focus and drive the teams to achieve important short-term milestones that are critical to the success of the overall development plan and strategy.

In collaboration with the team, the Program Manager will be responsible for project risk management and mitigation requiring contingency planning, conflict resolution, and tradeoff assessments.

Another aspect of this role is being a champion of the team and building strong relationships with peers and cross-functional partners. The individual needs to be willing to challenge and communicate difficult decisions, strategies, and priorities while maintaining a culture of collaboration and end-to-end accountability. With other team leaders the individual should create a positive team environment and a culture with a sense of urgency, driving toward improved team effectiveness and achievement.

This role will also have people management responsibility and will be expected to develop talent by working with them on development plans and providing opportunities for their growth.

Required Skills & Experience:

• BS in Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Prior program management experience of 8+ years is required.
• Strong people leader experience of 5+years preferred (indirect or direct)
• Highly preferred for candidate to have worked on large capital programs involving complex integrated subsystems (e.g., robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles).
• High performer and leader with demonstrated ability to manage a complex program in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must demonstrate influence and conflict resolution skills and ability to work collaboratively to align diverse stakeholders and lead teams without direct reporting authority.
• Experience working in an engineering capacity highly preferred, technical capacity is required.
• Experience with MSP required. Agile methodology and Jira capabilities preferred.
• Prior experience in a regulated environment is required. Medical device experience is preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$157,000.00 - $271,400.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
