Job description

There is nothing like the feeling of a good night’s sleep. Cozy, wrapped-up-in-a-heavy-blanket sleep. Fire crackling, curtains drawn, DO NOT DISTURB kind of sleep. Hygge stuff. That’s the kind of sleep we’re talking about. 85% of people agree sleep is a key to their wellbeing, but more than 50% of people are unsatisfied with their own sleep. Whether it’s stress, interruption, work, children, people need help getting great rest!

At Hatch, we know great sleep, and are on that mission to teach the whole family better sleep habits. Getting high quality sleep improves focus, energy, and performance no matter what you love to do in your life. We have developed best-in-class smart sleep devices with original content to help people wind down, sleep deeply and rise rested and relaxed. Come join a company that has already helped more than 5 million sleepers of all ages find space for rest in their lives, with baby products in 1 in 3 nurseries, and a viral adult smart sunrise alarm clock that has taken over TikTok and everyone from Jimmy Fallon to Sofia Richie Grainge’s nightstands.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a critical role in scaling Hatch’s sleep programs designed for parents, kids and babies. This role will blend operational expertise with strategic planning to build and grow programs that empower parents with expertise tailored to their children’s age and stage. Your work will directly contribute to creating meaningful experiences that make a difference for millions of families.

This person must be based in the United States or Canada. Hatch is based out of California, so this role would be asked to be available during PST/PDT hours.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 Months:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Hatch’s mission, products, and current offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and content teams to align program goals with overall product strategy.
  • Collaborate with experts to develop and refine user-facing sleep materials.
  • Build relationships with our existing sleep consultants and experts to understand their workflows and challenges.
  • Manage tools, budgets, and documentation for these programs.
  • Scope our initial release of these programs, aligning with stakeholders on constraints and opportunities within a highly limited timeframe.

Within 6 Months:

  • Work cross-functionally to design, build, and launch scalable sleep programs with access to sleep consultants.
  • Define hiring needs for scaling sleep consultant programs.
  • Implement an effective onboarding program for newly hired sleep consultants, ensuring they have the tools and training needed to succeed.
  • Establish metrics and processes to evaluate program performance, ensuring alignment with company goals.

After 1 Year:

  • Lead the scaling of Hatch’s sleep programs, managing both the operational and strategic aspects of program growth.
  • Grow and manage a team of sleep consultants, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance and expand Hatch’s offerings based on customer feedback and evolving needs.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of program management experience, ideally in a consumer-focused or operational role.
  • Proven ability to manage and scale programs, including hiring, onboarding, and process optimization.
  • Experience managing people, contractors, and/or consultants.
  • Strong operational skills with a knack for managing complex workflows and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Capacity to ask questions, synthesize critical information, put ideas into action, and share findings in cohesive ways.
  • Understanding of product development life cycles and experience working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and content teams.
  • Passion for improving family well-being and sleep health.
  • Experience building programs still early in their lifecycle; enthusiasm for the zero-to-one phase.
  • Experience with sleep or wellness programs.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development or parenting needs.
  • Past work supporting or collaborating with customer support teams or other groups working directly with customers.
  • Formalized Project Management certification.
