Description
The AWS resource management team is developing capabilities for the future of sales. We are looking for a Program Manager who will be an integral part in driving changes across AWS and supporting top-down and bottom-up changes across resource planning. We are looking for an individual with a proven delivery record and project management experience to own strategic, tactical and cross-functional projects and programs. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing process, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process changes.
To succeed in this role, you bring a strong process improvement mindset, excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills, and the ability to influence without authority in ambiguous or fast-changing environments. You are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to dig into operational issues as you are driving strategic conversations with stakeholders across levels. This role with challenge you to lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make data driven decisions and invent on behalf our stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations
- Development of the overall program strategy, tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliver
- Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
- Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources
- Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Prepare and deliver clear, data-backed updates and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by applying program management best practices and lean principles.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
- Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
