Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Minnesota seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead the F-35 Navigation Team, guiding cross-functional groups to plan and execute DMS projects for inertial and tactical navigation systems. The role reports to the F-35 Program Director and offers executive exposure across the LM Aero portfolio as capacity allows.

The position requires 6+ years in engineering project management, a PMP or CAPM certification (or commitment within 6 months), and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering project management experience in complex technical or regulated environments.
• PMI certification or commitment to obtain certification within 6 months, sponsored by Honeywell Aerospace.

• U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own project scope, objectives, and deliverables while partnering with engineering, operations, finance, supply chain, and customer-facing teams.
• Lead matrixed teams to deliver cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality commitments on programs supporting the F-35 mission.
• Translate business objectives into clear execution strategies, practical plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Build and execute integrated project plans within approved budget, schedule, and resource constraints.
• Adhere to Honeywell’s IPDS process and its phase gate reviews.
• Employ tools for setting and maintaining robust project and technical baselines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PM processes and practices.
• Identify and mitigate risks; identify and propose opportunities.
• Engage stakeholders with clear issue summaries, practical options, and timely corrective-action recommendations.
• Communicate complex project, technical, and financial status with confidence to internal leaders, customers, and executives.
• Comply with OPSEC, CUI, and export regulations and laws.
• Update Earned Value metrics based on project execution.
• Ensure project billings are submitted on time.

The annual base salary range for this position is $173,000-$216,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive eligible

This position requires Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification, which certification of the two will be determined by the level of the position & meeting the minimum experience requirements of the certification. Candidates who do not currently hold the certification required for their position level must obtain the applicable certification within six (6) months of hire. The company will cover the cost of required training, certification, and/or recertification.
