Job summary

Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead and manage the overall program management of multiple complex weapons and reimbursable programs. You will be the primary company representative to resolve programmatic and customer issues while guiding cost, scope, and schedule delivery.

You will direct financial planning, schedule control, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Scientific, or other related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Science.
  • 2 years experience in directly managing a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

  • Direct the establishment of program/project definitions and requirements, maintenance of schedules, and associated program/project baseline changes.
  • Manages and coaches a team of direct report employees.

Summary

Sr Program Manager leads and manages a functional business unit responsible for the overall program management of multiple, complex weapons, reimbursable product/service programs and Program Management support functions. Manages the cost, scope, and schedule of a program as well as support the technical aspects. Represents the Company to primary stakeholders through the negotiation, management, and delivery of all program requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

You Must Have
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Scientific, or other related field
  • 9 or more years of experience in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Science

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
We Value
  • Applied experience and expertise in program management processes, principles, and architecture for multiple key programs with progressive history of responsibility and leadership..
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Lean or Black Belt certified preferred.
  • Technical understanding of Security, Products, services and alignment to broader site mission.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully managing large projects or programs requiring direct customer management, executive leadership communication, and overall customer requirements management preferred. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience or 4 years supervisory experience with an additional four (4) years of direct responsibility for multi-million dollar projects or programs requiring direct customer management, executive leadership communication, and overall customer requirements management.
  • Successful history of working with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and NSE laboratories and/or production facilities preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional acumen with solid analytical, cost management, and quality system experience and awareness.
