Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Sr. Program Analyst to provide on-site DARPA support in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on coordinating program activities, tracking progress, and preparing briefings for senior leadership.

Qualified candidates hold a STEM Master’s, 10+ years in program analysis, active DoD TS/SCI clearance, and are adept at MS 365 tools. On-site work with up to 15% travel; strong communication and leadership required.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively complex issues to senior executive audiences, inside and outside the DoD.

The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effective. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

We have a near‑term need for a Sr. Program Analyst to provide onsite support out of DARPA in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

The candidate will provide program support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and will be motivated to learn DARPA processes, procedures, and culture. Will coordinate periodic (monthly or bi-weekly) internal and external meetings for the Program Manager. Monitor and track the programmatic progress of various performers and keep the Program Manager abreast of progress through daily communications, monthly reports, and other reports as needed. Provide input to and coordinate development of draft briefings, reports, and various other documents to support the development and approval of new and current program concepts and technologies. Liaise with and draft documents for Program Managers, legal and contractual personnel, and administrative support staff. Communicate clearly and effectively complex issues both verbally and in writing for senior executive audiences, both inside and outside of the DoW.

This is a full-time on-site position in Arlington, VA. Up to 15% travel may be required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM); may substitute a non-technical degree with demonstrated technical acumen.
  • 10+ year of experience in a program analyst or management role.
  • Experience acting as a lead on analytical or assessment processes in support of technical, business, and administrative goals.
  • Proven experience directing or mentoring other personnel in the performance of complex tasks.
  • Active DoW TS/SCI clearance.
  • Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills, with mature judgment and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with software suites such as Microsoft 365, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work fully onsite at DARPA's HQ in Arlington, VA.

Desired:

  • At least 3 years of experience working directly with DARPA Program Managers is highly desirable.
Pay Range Information

Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $145,000.00/Yr. - USD $185,000.00/Yr.
