A Sr. Professional Engineer position is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department on the Capital Delivery Neighborhood Streets Team. The Sr. Professional Engineer will perform engineering duties related to the design and construction of public works projects including project planning, executing design and construction contracts, reviewing construction plans and specifications, preparing and reviewing cost estimates and project schedules, conducting site visits, advertising and bidding projects, monitoring projects through the construction phase, and completing and closing out projects.

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing and balancing.
Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
