Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an on-the-job trainer to support the production workforce. You will deliver required training, conduct initial sessions for new employees, and perform periodic skill assessments focused on safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities include developing training materials with supervisors, tracking employee progress, and reporting training outcomes to management to help maintain GMP standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial training sessions with new production employees, focusing on product proficiency, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Keep supervisor informed of employee progress during training and provide a completed training checklist upon completion.
• Assess employee's potential strengths and areas for improvement or further training.
• Conduct periodic skill assessments of new and current employees and report training needs to management.
• Conduct supplemental training sessions with new and current employees and report results of sessions to management via written report.
• Assist supervisors in developing technical training materials and in conducting skill training exercises.
• Assist supervisors in maintaining daily production schedule / line coverage.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all GMP and work in a manner consistent with company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Conduct initial training sessions with new production employees. Conduct periodic skill assessments and supplemental training sessions of new and veteran employees and report training needs to management.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of manufacturing/productions or related experience to include proficiency in the usage of the equipment and procedural knowledge of the non-mechanical aspects of equipment (e.g., paperwork, communication, safety, quality)
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
