Job Summary:
Responsible for all organizational aspects of production scheduling and budgeting. Assist the Senior Director of Animation in managing the day-to-day operations of non-Sonic short-form animation development, production, and post-production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will primarily focus on the development, production, and post-production of various non-Sonic the Hedgehog entertainment content but will also be part of the Sonic the Hedgehog production team in an assisting and advisory role.
- Assist the Senior Director of Animation in identifying external development and production partners, as well as in creating production schedules and budgets by gathering and providing necessary data and materials.
- Assist the Senior Director of Animation in aligning the department’s goals with the Transmedia/Legacy team’s strategy and the needs of other departments by setting up and organizing meetings with internal and external parties and keeping records of the meetings.
- Stay current with trends and new technologies in the animation industry and inform the Sega team.
- Stay up to date with all partnership and production service contracts for future troubleshooting.
- Be an expert on all past SEGA legacy games, products, and animations, and be familiar with all characters in the SEGA universe.
- Stay current on all non-Sonic and Sonic game developments and develop a working knowledge of all SEGA properties.
- Serve as a liaison with the Social Media team, PD producers, and licensing managers to maintain open communication channels and maximize synergy among departments.
- Act as a hub for information and material exchange with production studios for non-Sonic short-form animation, ensuring the effective and accurate flow of company instructions to the studios.
- Keep track of all production materials and archives.
- Maintain the department’s contact list.
- Keep the department’s server folders organized and up to date.
- Maintain the department’s physical and data assets.
- Deliver materials to internal and external distribution partners and maintain detailed records of all asset movement.
- Prepare accounts payable request forms for non-Sonic title productions.
- Keep records for all department non-Sonic production meetings and weekly department meetings.
- Support the Senior Director of Animation in the day-to-day management of non-Sonic short-form productions and post-productions:
- Obtain approvals on creative materials.
- Gather and organize notes from various parties and create consolidated, digestible notes for the studio.
- Maintain an itemized deliverables list and communicate effectively with external teams.
- Anticipate issues and delays by maintaining and updating production and post-production schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement for face-to-face interaction ensures effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork. In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:
- To provide effective supervision of employees and work products, ensuring all employees receive necessary oversight, access to supervisory assistance, and opportunities for meetings to review work product, deadlines, and status.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in a similar production role in animation.
- Knowledge of animation production and post-production.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the tools and technology resources necessary to run post-production.
- Passion for creating first-class, quality entertainment.
- Team player who is highly collaborative and flexible.
- Demonstrated hands-on television production experience (promos, ads, music videos, etc.).
- Ability to operate quickly and calmly within complex and high-pressure environments, while setting and maintaining key priorities.
