Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Product Sales Manager for Starlink Aviation to drive revenue growth by leveraging aviation industry knowledge and Starlink capabilities.

You will collaborate across teams to refine pricing, product strategy, and go-to-market plans, while enabling sales with strong technical collateral and customer engagements. This role requires several years in enterprise sales or product management, plus experience with network infrastructure and global aviation markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Business or 5+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical sales or product management.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with enterprise network infrastructure.

SR. PRODUCT SALES MANAGER (STARLINK AVIATION)

The Starlink Enterprise Sales team is hiring a results-driven, capable Sr. Product Sales Manager to support Starlink’s adoption across the world. Starlink brings an unprecedented opportunity to positively impact communities, businesses, and governments worldwide. This role is part of a high velocity team with extremely high expectations – the role requires a strong balance of business and technical acumen, as well as knowledge of the Starlink product and network, to support the Enterprise Sales team in achieving revenue targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leverage experience in general aviation, business and corporate aviation, and commercial airlines to identify and develop improvements to pricing, product, and go-to-market strategies to support revenue growth, and be able to defend them internally.

  • Support the integration of new hardware and service products into Starlink’s growing portfolio – this includes pricing, operations, sales enablement, and product portfolio management.
  • Support the sales engagements of the broader team, engage with customers, and answer questions around commercial models and product capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical and commercial sales enablement collateral to support Starlink’s sales teams, resellers, and direct customers.
  • Work in partnership with our Licensing, Government Affairs, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Product Engineering teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or Business discipline or 5+ years of professional working experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical sales or product management.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with enterprise network infrastructure.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years of previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Previous experience in sales, account management, business development, engineering, and/or other technical roles preferred supporting enterprise networking products.
  • Strong analytical skills in business and technical issues.
  • Comfortable with high degree of ambiguity and figuring out solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Knowledge of Starlink’s network infrastructure to communicate to customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude for the products you’ve supported.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must work onsite from SpaceX office in Bastrop, TX, Hawthorne, CA, Redmond, WA, or Palo Alto, CA.
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to customer locations and other SpaceX locations.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:

Level 3: $130,000.00 - $205,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
